Fate

“Is our fate our own to decide or are we all the result of some higher calling!”

“Life does not always provide an answer to why we’re here, what influences our choices, what choice do we have over life. Sometimes, we are swept up in the whirlwind of moments, where events appear to be beyond our control and are conspiring against us. In the end, it is only by looking back through what we’ve done and how we respond, that the truth of it all is revealed. The question is, will we understand it, see it, feel it in such a way to control our fate, or will we accept that just maybe, acceptance of what has become is the closest we’ll ever be to determining our destiny.”

Our destiny is both a personal choice and a product of external forces. The choices we make in response to life's often unpredictable events shape our path, but we may not fully understand our destiny until we reflect on our actions and outcomes. Ultimately, we may need to accept that understanding and controlling our destiny is limited, and that acceptance may be the true key to determining our fate.
Acceptance and Destiny

- Acceptance of Fate: Some believe that our lives are predetermined, and we must accept the path laid out for us. This can lead to a sense of peace and resignation, but it can also stifle personal growth and agency.
- Control over Destiny: Others argue that we have control over our own destiny and that our actions and choices shape our future. This can be motivating and empowering, but it can also lead to anxiety and a sense of overwhelming responsibility.
- Balance: Ultimately, it may be most beneficial to find a balance between acceptance and control. We can acknowledge the role of fate and destiny while still recognizing our own agency and responsibility for our lives.
- Embracing the Journey: Rather than focusing solely on the destination, we can choose to embrace the journey itself. This involves being present in the moment, appreciating experiences, and learning from both successes and failures.
- Inner Growth: Destiny can be seen as a path of inner growth and transformation. Through challenges and obstacles, we can develop resilience, compassion, and wisdom.
- Influence of Others: Friends and loved ones can play a significant role in shaping our destiny, providing support, guidance, and inspiration.
- Gratitude: Cultivating gratitude for the blessings in our lives can help us appreciate the present moment and accept the path that lies ahead.
- Courage: Facing destiny with courage and determination can lead to greater self-discovery and fulfillment.
Fate's Influence:

- Fate may influence our choices: "Life does not always provide an answer to why we're here, what influences our choices, what choice do we have over life."

Individual Agency:

- We possess some control over our actions: "The question is, will we understand it, see it, feel it in such a way to control our fate, or will we accept that just maybe, acceptance of what has become is the closest we’ll ever be to determining our destiny."
- Our actions shape our future: "Imagine what your life will be, begin the journey, look back and surprise, it’s likely not what you thought it would be at all."

Interplay of Fate and Agency:

- Paths can be guided but not predetermined: "In every soul you find under this earth's dome, May kinship spark, casting warmth like a hearth's home. The end of your quest is not the treasure to seek, But in each step is love, that lights the sparks at each peak."
- Love and kindness influence our path: "When all paths converge, as they surely must, It's the love you spread that turns gold from mere dust."

Ultimately, the sources suggest that:

- Fate may influence our circumstances, but our actions and choices play a significant role in shaping our destiny.
- We possess genuine agency, but we must be mindful of the potential influences of fate on our path.
- By embracing empathy, kindness, and love, we can navigate the interplay of fate and agency to create a fulfilling life.
