Stories, Lore, And Canon

Stories: a narrative, either true or fictitious, in prose or verse, designed to interest, amuse, or instruct the hearer or reader.

Lore: a body of traditions and knowledge on a subject or held by a particular group, typically passed from person to person by word of mouth.

Canon: its root meanings come from a Hebrew-Greek word meaning “cane” or “measuring rod”. It was passed into Christian usage to mean “norm” or “rule of faith” during the 4th century CE and was first employed in context to biblical literature: New Testament canon, texts, and versions.
